At the Almalyk state technical institute, an event dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the establishment of trade unions in Uzbekistan was held. During the event, acting rector of ASTI, doctor of technical sciences U.Khalikulov, spoke about the role of the trade union in protecting the interests of workers. The chairman of the city council of the trade union of workers of education and science of Uzbekistan, B.Musaev, congratulated the participants on the occasion and, on behalf of the council, presented certificates of honor and valuable gifts to active members of the trade union. The chief legal counsel of the legal service center, N.Makhammedov, provided an extensive overview of workers’ rights.

In the second part of the event, a report by the chairman of the ASTI trade union, N.Nosirov, on the work carried out in 2024–2025 was presented. Through a secret ballot, Azimjon Bektaev was elected as the new chairperson of the ASTI trade union.
